Happy Birthday Idiot!

Today is the first birthday of Irrelevant Idiot! It started on the 22nd February 2011, after being bored and a little disillusioned, and constantly seeing a blog that I thought was shit and that I could do better. Also it took a little prompting from Big Dave.

I have been reading a lot of opinions recently about my local area, and its cultural identity. An especially well written response to all this was provided by my good mate Chris on his blog (Its a cracking read as well). So I have caved in to the invisible peer pressure and decided to add my own ill-advised response to proceedings, so here goes.

Behind Enemy Lines

This was the realisation of a task that I had set myself for sometime, yet I had never really had chance to do. I had always fancied testing myself by sitting within the home fans at a Middlesbrough away game. Last Saturday I got my chance, sort of.

Well this isn't a blog that I was expecting to write! I wasn't even considering doing a blog covering the Tees Wear derby last night. I wanted to take in the game and the atmosphere and maybe have a bit of a shout and sing. Yet, I am going to write this blog due to what happened to me on my walk back to the car.
